How the monthly rate works

Independent living is the base suite rate. Assisted living adds a personal care plan (medication management, help with daily routines) on top of it.

The final rate depends on the suite you choose and the level of care you need. A care assessment before move-in sets it precisely, so there are no surprises later.

Included in every suite

  • Three chef-prepared meals daily
  • Weekly housekeeping and linens
  • All utilities
  • Full activity calendar

Care that grows with you

One building, one move, care that adjusts

If care needs change, the care plan changes. Nobody has to move again.

  1. A clear assessment before move-in

The care team goes through it with you, and it sets the care plan and what the rate covers, before you decide.

  2. Move in with the support you need today

For most residents that is independent living: your own suite, your own routine.

  3. If needs change, care is added in the same suite

Personal support and medication management come to you. Not another wing, not another building.

  4. A care team in the building, around the clock

Trained staff on site 24/7, not on call from somewhere else.

What Park Place is

A private-pay retirement home licensed by the RHRA: independent and assisted living under one roof.

What it is not

Park Place is not a long term care home and does not provide memory care. If LTC is what your family needs, we will tell you honestly on the first call, so nobody tours the wrong building.

From families like yours

People who made this decision before you

I can't say enough about the wonderful experience with Prima Living Park Place Retirement Centre in Aurora. From the moment we walked in, it was clear this place is special.
Esther L., family member
My mother recently moved from living independently to Prima Living Park Place and she is doing extremely well. She looks better, is eating better, getting her medication administered properly and has visited the on-site hair salon... It is so amazing the thought and planning that goes into the resident activities and events, and also the diverse meal planning.
Mona E., family member
Prima Living Park Place is a beautiful property, filled with passionate and caring employees. My visit to this location was met with smiling faces and warm hearts. I would recommend checking them out.

Questions families ask

Frequently asked questions

Still have a question? 289-672-3683
What does the monthly rate include?

Your suite, three chef-prepared meals daily, weekly housekeeping, all utilities, and the full activity calendar. Assisted living adds a personal care plan on top of the suite rate; the care assessment sets it exactly.

How is the care level assessed?

Before move-in, the care team goes through an assessment with you and your family. It sets the care plan and what the monthly rate covers, before any commitment.

Retirement home vs long term care home: what is Park Place?

Park Place is a private-pay retirement home licensed by the RHRA: independent and assisted living with 24/7 on-site staff. It is not a government long term care home and there is no LTC waitlist involved. If LTC is what your family needs, we will say so on the first call.

Can I bring my pet?

Yes. Park Place is pet friendly. Bring your companion to the tour if you like.

Can we just visit first, no commitment?

Of course. A tour is a look around and a conversation. No paperwork, no pressure, no obligation.

Is there Wi-Fi, TV and a phone in the suite?

Yes. Every suite includes TV, telephone and Wi-Fi access, along with all utilities (heat, hydro and water) and an individual thermostat, so the suite is ready to live in from the first day.

The neighbourhood

In the heart of downtown Aurora

Park Place sits right on Yonge Street, in the middle of the old downtown. Nothing about the routine has to change: the same shops, the same library, the same walk to Town Park, now a few minutes from the front door.

  • Yonge Street shops and cafes, a short walk from the front door
  • The Aurora Public Library and Town Park, minutes away
  • The Aurora GO station nearby, for visits from the city
  • Highway 404 a short drive east, for family arriving by car
